At Adagio Performing Arts School, we strive to provide our students with the best possible dance education. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping our students reach their potential and build a strong foundation in the fundamentals of dance.

We believe that learning should be fun and engaging, as well as a great way to build self-confidence and make friends. Our training is professional yet friendly, and designed to help students reach their goals, whether they are aspiring professionals or just looking to have some fun.

Stephanie Roberts Princial/ Owner Steph has been a dancer since she was just three years old and has studied various styles of dance. During her time at BusyBodies Stage School and Centre Stage in Dereham, she completed numerous exams and competitions. Steph always dreamed of becoming a dance teacher and pursued her passion by earning dance qualifications from City College Norwich and York St John University. She gained teaching experience in community settings and collaborated with Nicky Robson to enhance her skills. Steph is now a recognized teacher with the ISTD and TDSC and has taught at Davies Dance Company. She decided to open her own dance school - Adagio, to offer dance to the people in her local community. Steph is dedicated to teaching and wants to ensure that everyone has access to dance.

Anya Sharratt Teaching Assistant Anya began dancing at the age of three at her local dance school before joining the Reepham School of Dance. There, she continued her formal training, participated in numerous performances, and discovered her love for teaching when she became an assistant at just 8 years old. Anya is currently working towards completing her vocational grades and plans to undertake formal training to become a fully qualified dance teacher.

Jessica Roberts Teaching Assistant Jess discovered her passion for dance at the age of five, inspired by watching her older sister perform and the beloved TV show *Angelina Ballerina*. She began her training at Centre Stage, where she achieved her dance grades and participated in numerous performances, showcasing her growing talent. After completing sixth form, Jess pursued a foundation degree at Bedford University, furthering her expertise across various dance genres. Currently, Jess serves as one of our dedicated teaching assistants while working toward her vocational graded examinations. Her ultimate goal is to earn her Diploma in Dance Education with the ISTD, becoming a fully qualified dance teacher.

Dominic Doreste Technical Director Dominic is our highly skilled and experienced sound and lighting technician, bringing a wealth of expertise to every production. He is responsible for editing and enhancing all performance tracks, ensuring they meet the highest standards for our shows. Additionally, Dominic designs and implements bespoke lighting setups, creating captivating visual experiences that perfectly complement each performance. His technical proficiency and creative vision play a vital role in delivering seamless, professional productions.

Francesca Doreste Stage Manager Francesca is a highly skilled and dedicated stage manager who consistently delivers exceptional results. Known for her strong leadership and organizational abilities, she ensures every aspect of a production runs smoothly and efficiently. Francesca places the utmost importance on the safety and well-being of the children involved in each performance, maintaining a supportive and secure environment at all times. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to balance professionalism with a personable approach make her an invaluable member of the team.

Gabriel Guilfoyle Photographer Gabe is our talented and dedicated photographer, specializing in capturing the magic and energy of our performances. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through imagery, Gabe ensures every moment—both on stage and behind the scenes—is beautifully documented. From dynamic action shots to candid backstage moments, Gabe's work preserves the memories and essence of each production, creating stunning visual records that our performers and audiences cherish. His professionalism and artistic expertise make him an integral part of our creative team.

Katie Roberts Head Chaperone Katie is our Head Chaperone, bringing her extensive childcare and care background to the forefront in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the children’s dressing rooms. She takes great care to ensure every child has everything they need, fostering a supportive and organized environment. Katie’s natural leadership and attention to detail also extend to overseeing the chaperone team, ensuring everyone is in the right place and fully aware of their responsibilities. Her confident, no-nonsense approach keeps everything running seamlessly, making her an invaluable part of our team.
